Hi, I'm Richard. I started programming on the Apple II and began web development using Notepad on Windows 3.1 and the Netscape browser.
Back then, making international calls, or even long-distance calls, was expensive. But with a simple webpage, you could share information with the entire world for almost nothing. Building a website felt like magic.
Since then, the internet has changed a lot, and now it’s harder to find meaningful information amid the flood of content.
Today, the internet is full of webpages, yet it’s harder to find people who actually create their own. Why is that?
It might be because, as the internet and technology grew, making websites started to feel more complicated and difficult.
When Tim Berners-Lee first invented the web, he designed it so that anyone could easily create and use websites.

But even now, creating a website is still simple. While we’ve added more features, the basic structure of a website hasn’t changed.
Nowadays, when people think of the internet, they often think of platforms like YouTube, X, or Instagram.
But I hope people will start creating their own websites again, so we can communicate directly with each other and take control of the internet.
I hope this blog will encourage more people to create their own websites.
If more people start making their own websites, we’ll see a variety of creative and unique designs we’ve never imagined. Just thinking about it is exciting!
And if you have any questions or run into any challenges while creating your webpage, feel free to reach out anytime!
